Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study evaluates the role of small scale industry in the economic development of Imo State economy. The main objective of this study is to examine the role of small scale business to the growth and development of Imo State economy. The method of data collection was primary and secondary sources. The sample techniques were done using random sampling method in selecting respondent. The hypotheses were tested using ANOVA as a statistical tool and questionnaire were analyzed using simple percentages. The finding shows that small scale enterprises helps to generate more revenue to the government of Imo State. I therefore recommend that the state government should make effective policies that will promote and protect the growth and development of small scaled enterprises in the economy. The government should improve managerial skill or proper accounting and record keeping system of small scale enterprises in other to make small scale business successful in Imo State.
