Abstract

This project focuses on the design and implementation of a template-based website tailored to meet the needs of multiple businesses. The goal was to create a cost effective, scalable, and user-friendly system that allows businesses to establish an online presence with minimal technical expertise. By leveraging a modular design approach, the system features customizable templates for branding, layout, and content presentation. The project employed a three-tier architecture: the presentation layer (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), the application layer (PHP), and the database layer (MySQL). Templates were designed to be reusable and configurable, enabling businesses to personalize their websites without modifying the core code. The database system facilitated the storage and dynamic retrieval of business-specific data, ensuring seamless integration between the front-end and back-end. Comprehensive testing was conducted to validate functionality, responsiveness, and compatibility across devices. Additionally, basic security measures, such as input validation and password encryption, were implemented to safeguard user data. While the project successfully delivered a working prototype, limitations such as the lack of e-commerce features and advanced user management were identified, highlighting areas for future improvement. This project demonstrates the potential of template-driven web solutions in reducing development costs and complexity for small businesses. The findings emphasize the importance of accessible web technologies in empowering businesses to compete in the digital economy. Recommendations for future work include expanding functionality, enhancing security, and deploying the system on a live server for real-world application.
