There was a significant prevalence of Ascaris lubricoide (8.3%) in relation to the other geohelminths in the type of infection. Hookworm showed a prevalence of (5.0%) where as Trichuris trichura showed no infection (0%). The difference in the distribution of infections among the sexes, age groups, number in households, income, source of water and the type of toilet used was also recorded. However, regression analysis of the infection showed that these are possible risk factors of Geohelminth infection in the area. Provision of good toilets and improvement in the social welfare of the people can help eradicate or reduce geohelminths infections.
