ACCOUNTING CONTROL SYSTEMS ON FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE (MULTINATIONAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY IN NIGERIA)
Abstract
Multinational companies (MNCs) are essential for economic growth and job creation in Nigeria, Africa's largest economy, particularly in the consumer goods sector. Their success hinges not only on business strategies but also on effective accounting control systems, which ensure financial accuracy and regulatory compliance. Given Nigeria's volatile economic landscape, characterized by currency fluctuations and regulatory changes, robust accounting controls are critical for mitigating risks and enhancing decision-making. These systems help MNCs navigate challenges and maintain investor confidence, making them vital for thriving in Nigeria's unpredictable market (Whittington & Delaney, 2016; Osho, 2019).
