Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study investigated industrialization and social economic development in Abia State with special affect for Ikwuano L.G.A Abia State as organization of study. The objectives examine the extent at which al industrialization helps in boosting development. Ascertain the extent at which industrial policies are designed rove industrial sector. To evaluate the effect of industrialization as a strategy for social economic development in Ikwuano L.G.A. The researcher employed survey research design. A total population of 1800 as the population of the study and a sample size of 360 were determined using the taroyamma formula. Tables and percentages were used to present and analyze the data which chi-square statistical tool was used to test the hypotheses formulated the findings revealed that industrialization helps boost economic development. Industrial policies are designed for improve industrial sector on the basis of the above findings. The researcher recommend or follow: government should encourage the industrialization of Ikwuano L.G.A by providing basic infrastructure facilities like water, electricity, and modern market.
