Abstract

The three-phase to single-phase optimal voltage selector is a crucial device designed to improve power reliability and efficiency in environments where three-phase power is available but the load requires single-phase power. This system continuously monitors the voltage levels of three independent phases and automatically selects the phase with the highest voltage within a predefined safe operating range, typically between 100 V and 240 V. By using advanced electronics and embedded systems, the selector ensures optimal power delivery, reducing the risk of voltage drops and minimizing wear on electrical equipment. The study details the design, implementation, and testing of a three-phase to single-phase voltage selector, focusing on its key components, such as voltage sensors, relays, and microcontrollers, like Arduino, for real-time voltage comparison and selection. The project also emphasizes the system's ability to enhance energy efficiency by automatically selecting the phase with the most stable voltage, thereby reducing energy losses and equipment maintenance costs. A robust simulation of the system's performance is presented, demonstrating that the device provides seamless switching between phases without causing interruptions to the load. In addition to technical performance, the economic viability of the system is explored through a cost-benefit analysis, highlighting the potential for quick payback periods and long-term savings in energy-intensive environments. This research represents a significant step towards improving single-phase load reliability in areas with unstable or unbalanced three-phase supply systems, offering a practical and cost-effective solution for industries, residential areas, and commercial buildings that depend on consistent power supply
