There are several factors likely to contribute to the very high diarrhea morbidity and mortality rate in children under (5) five years old including poverty, female illiteracy, poor water supply and santation, poor hygiene practices and inadequate health service, malnutrition is another established risk factor for mortality among children with diarrhea diseases. The main consequences of diarrhea are frequent loose or water stool, the risk of dehydration, damage to intestine and loss of appetite with or without vomiting.
