ASSESSMENT OF KNOWLEDGE ATTITUDDE AND PRACTICE TOWARDS ENVIRONMENTAL SANITATION AMONG HOUSE HOLD
Abstract
Environmental sanitation is a critical component of public health, especially in developing countries where poor sanitation contributes significantly to disease burden. This study assessed the knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of households toward environmental sanitation. A descriptive cross-sectional survey design was adopted using structured questionnaires administered to selected households. Findings revealed moderate knowledge levels but gaps in practical implementation, especially in waste disposal and drainage maintenance. The study concludes that improved awareness programs and community-based sanitation initiatives are required to promote sustainable environmental hygiene.
