Abstract

Abstract The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of E-Facilitation Delivery System in teaching and learning mathematics on secondary education in Toro LGA Of Bauchi. The research questions raised four research questions upon which the researcher extensively reviewed related literatures for various opinions of previous researchers on the issue under discourse. Experimental research design was adopted for the research. The instruments used for the study were: virtual lecture slides on vector algebra which included diagrams of representation of vector, video tutorial on vectors, note on vectors and 3D interactive vector. The E-Facilitation Delivery System test question is an objective type of test consisting of four (4) items. The test carries 10 questions in all. While the E-Facilitation Delivery System interest inventory is a four (4) point’s scale that term to solicit the interest of students due to the utilization of the virtual learning environment. Conclusively from the results obtained from the research work, it is evident to establish that E-Facilitation Delivery System have positive impact on students’ academic achievement and interest in mathematics. From the analysis of the E-Facilitation Delivery System and conventional test and Interest inventory responses of mathematics education student’s major findings were made such as: E-Facilitation Delivery System positively enhance academic achievement of students and E-Facilitation Delivery System stimulates and sustain students’ interest in learning mathematics. There is a significant difference between the mean achievements of students of students due to the use of E-Facilitation Delivery System in learning processes. This implies that teachers who would want to positively enhance academic and interest especially in mathematics empire utilization of appropriate E-Facilitation Delivery System. However, the study recommends among others that Mathematics department of the secondary schools should implore the use of E- E-Facilitation Delivery System for instructions process so as to facilitate understanding, comprehension and assimilation of instructional experiences and also Government through appropriate channel such as the National Secondary schools Commission ( NUC), an arm of the Federal Ministry of Education, should place emphasis on utilization of instructional materials in secondary schools.
