Abstract

As healthcare activities continue to grow in scale and complexity, hospitals require smarter and more automated systems to improve efficiency and quality of service. This project presents the development of an Intelligent Hospital Management System (IHMS)—a unified, smart platform designed to support patient care, simplify administrative processes, and enable informed decision-making. The system incorporates modern technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital patient records, automated scheduling, and secure role-based access to manage essential hospital operations including registration, appointments, diagnosis updates, laboratory results, billing, and inventory control. The IHMS is built using a modular system architecture to ensure flexibility, stability, and ease of future expansion. It integrates intelligent components like automatic appointment suggestions, real-time notifications, and analytical tools to help administrators optimize workflows. By combining powerful backend processing, a structured database, and an intuitive interface, the system provides seamless and secure coordination across different hospital departments. Results from the system implementation show improved accuracy of medical records, quicker service delivery, reduced manual workload, and better overall patient experience. The project demonstrates that adopting an intelligent management system is essential for contemporary healthcare institutions, offering an efficient and sustainable alternative to traditional manual processes and supporting the transition toward data-driven hospital management
