Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Building Information Modeling (BIM) on construction project performance, with a focus on its effectiveness in reducing project costs, improving scheduling, enhancing construction quality, and promoting stakeholder collaboration. The research adopted a descriptive survey design and data were collected through structured questionnaires administered to 30 construction professionals. The findings revealed that BIM significantly contributes to project success by enabling better cost estimation, reducing material wastage, and minimizing rework. In terms of scheduling, respondents noted enhanced visualization for planning and improved identification of potential delays. BIM was also found to enhance the quality of construction through better design accuracy and reduced execution errors. Furthermore, it was rated highly effective in fostering communication and collaboration among project stakeholders, especially between architects, engineers, and site personnel. The study concludes that BIM is a valuable tool in achieving efficient, timely, and cost-effective project delivery. It recommends wider adoption, improved training, and supportive policy frameworks to maximize the benefits of BIM in the construction industry.
