THE EFFECT OF VIRTUAL REALITY TRAINING ON EMPLOYEE SKILL DEVELOPMENT AND RETENTION (A CASE STUDY OF ZAMFARA STATE MINISTRY OF HEALTH GUSAU)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The study investigates the impact of virtual reality (VR) training on employee skill
development and retention within the context of the Zamfara State Ministry of
Health in Gusau. As the healthcare sector faces increasing demands and
complexities, innovative training approaches are crucial for employee development
and retention. This research explores the effectiveness of VR training in enhancing
employee skills and reducing turnover rates. A mixed-methods approach was
employed, combining quantitative surveys and qualitative interviews with
employees who underwent VR training. The results show a significant improvement
in employee skills and knowledge retention, as well as increased job satisfaction and
engagement. The study demonstrates the potential of VR training to revolutionize
employee development in the healthcare sector, particularly in resource-constrained
settings like Zamfara State. The findings have implications for policy and practice,
highlighting the need for healthcare organizations to embrace innovative training
solutions to enhance employee performance and retention.
