Abstract

ABSTRACT This study evaluates the effectiveness of government policies in promoting entrepreneurship development in Shinkafi Local Government, Nigeria. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research investigates the current policies and initiatives aimed at supporting entrepreneurs, the challenges faced by entrepreneurs in accessing government support, and the impact of these policies on entrepreneurship development. The findings reveal that while the government has implemented several initiatives to promote entrepreneurship, there are still significant challenges that hinder the effectiveness of these policies. The study recommends improvements to government policies and initiatives to better support entrepreneurship development in the area. The research contributes to the existing body of knowledge on entrepreneurship development and provides insights for policymakers and stakeholders in the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
