DEVELOPMENT OF A SECURED ONLINE ATTENDANCE SYSTEM
Abstract
This research proposal outlines a comprehensive methodology for the creation of an attendance
website using the WordPress platform. Attendance tracking is a fundamental aspect of
organizational management such as in the use of student’s presents or participation of students
during class lectures for their various courses, essential for monitoring participation, assessing
engagement, and ensuring accountability. However, traditional methods of attendance tracking
often prove inefficient, error-prone, and lacking in real-time data accessibility. In response to
this problem researchers have aimed in developing other sources to track accurately and
monitor attendance precisely. In doing so, the development of electronic attendance system,
biometric attendance systems, RFID and NFC technologies, including the web-based
attendance system. This project research aims to address these challenges by developing a web
based attendance system leveraging the power and versatility of WordPress to develop a
modern, accessible, and user-friendly attendance tracking solution.
