Abstract

As a social and educational service, counseling entails helping students locate the best professional or academic settings based on their preferences and educational background. Few students at universities physically visit the counseling center for counseling services because they are afraid to approach counselors in person, and those who do so, do so face-to-face. They are reluctant to go all the way to the counseling center because they manually register and collect their information when they arrive, which they disagree with. The project's aim is to create a safe, web-based, two-way counseling system: AI and human-in-the-loop that would allow Nile university students to either contact AI or counselors anonymously or reveal their identity and receive counseling services. To create the system, we employed waterfall methodology as the system development life cycle. Reading previously published works was one of the data collection techniques. Use case diagrams, activity diagrams, and class diagrams are among the data and process models used in the system's design. During interaction, the user interfaces with the system, which handles data entry, validation, and updating. React native and CSS were among the web programming technologies used in its development. This project seeks to bridge the gap between Nile university students and counseling services/professionals by providing an accessible online counseling web-app that integrates Artificial Intelligence and Human in the loop either (Anonymously or to reveal your identity)
