APPLICATION OF REGRESSION ANALYSIS ON SOME SELECTED LIVESTOCK FEEDS INVESTMENTS WITHIN KADUNA METROPOLIS (A CASE STUDY OF BIOTIN FARM SHANONO, RIGASA KADUNA)
Abstract
This Project titled ‟Application of regression Analyses on some selected livestock feeds
investments within Kaduna metropolis”.(A case study of Biotin Farm Shanono Rigasa, Kaduna)
.The aim of work is to analyze the application of regression analysis on some selected livestock
feed investment in Kaduna, through the following objective: To determine the relationship that
exist between on some selected livestock feeds investments within Kaduna metropolis, To check if
multicollinearity exist and to fit a regression line. the correlation analysis showthat there exist a
significant relationship between layer feeds sales, grower feeds sales, broiler starter and boiler
finisher sales on profit, the multicollinearity shows that VIF values are (1.436, 4.402, 3.463 and
2.362) respectively which are all less than 5, where therefore reject the null hypothesis and
conclude that the independent variables are not collinear variables. This means that the three
variables are not Strongly correlated with each other. Signifying that they all provide unique and
independent information in explaining the variation in the sale also the Anova analysis shows the
p-value is (0.000) which is less than our alpha value (0.05) we therefore reject the null
hypothesis and conclude that, at least one of the coefficients is statistically significant which
signifies that the model is statistically significant, indicating that the model is fit for prediction.
Lastly the regression analysis shows that that the Profit is related to Layer feeds sales, Grower
feeds sales, Broiler starter sales and Broiler finished. Profit(Y) = -796.033 +0.101LF
+0.038GF+ 0.091BS + 0.071BF. we therefore recommended that The company should procure
more of layer feed, Grower feeds sales, Broiler starter feed and boiler finisher for as the
company makes more sales in all these feeds as the proximity to market is to be considered, in
other for the manager to maximize his profit.
