Data were collected using the questionnaire and analysed using simple percentage distribution table. However, hypotheses were tested using chi-square statistical formula. The findings of the study amongst others showed that the movie “shanty town” is very effective in the fight against prostitution in Nigeria. It was therefore recommended amongst others that Nollywood should produce more films to depict justice for victims of forced prostitution and sex trafficking as well as conviction of sex traffickers and prostitution syndicates.
