Abstract

The increasing prevalence of diabetes and the limitations of conventional treatments, there is a lack of scientifically validated and accessible alternative therapies. The potential antihyperglycemic effects of Vernonia amygdalina are not fully understood, and existing clinical studies are limited by poor design and low statistical power. This gap necessitates comprehensive research to validate the antidiabetic claims of bitter leaf and to explore its potential as a complementary or alternative treatment for diabetes.
