AN ASSESSMENT OF THE CAUSES OF DIVORCE AMONG MARRIED COUPLE AND PROBABLE SOLUTIONS (A CASE STUDY OF ILORIN WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA, KWARA STATE)
Abstract
This project work focuses on the causes of divorce and probable solutions in Nigeria. A Case Study of llorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State. In so doing the researcher made use of the potent instruments to gather information about the subject matter in the study. There was extensive literature review. A descriptive research design of the survey type was employed because it allows for objective presentation of fact during the study. One hundred respondents were randomly sampled and studied to obtain information. Structured questionnaires were administered personally in the study area. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequency counts, tables and simple percentages. The findings of the study show the causes of divorce among couples and the probable solutions. Based on the findings above, summary, conclusion and recommendations were done on the study so that people will have more knowledge on the causes of divorce among couples in Nigeria, llorin West Local Government Area, Kwara State.
