Abstract

This research “Application of Simulation Techniques in Queuing Analysis; A case study of Inna- Wuro Aishatu Babangida General hospital, Wushishi.” is a report to determine the queuing pattern of patients the go to the hospital for treatment. The data collected is for the time interval between arrival and time in service. The study reviewed relevant literature to acquaint researchers on the application of simulation technique and queuing analysis. It can be generally agreed that there is always a queue in the hospital. From the analysis it shows that; the average waiting time per patient is 1minute, the probability for a patient to wait in the queue is 45%, the proportion of idle time of the doctor is 27%; the average service time is 3.3minutes, the average time between arrivals is 4.42minutes. The average waiting time for patients that have to wait is 2.22minutes and the average time spent by a patient in the system is 4.3minutes.
