Abstract

This study investigates the effects of poor record management systems at the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa Library. It highlights the challenges faced due to poor record-keeping practices, including loss of information, inefficiency in service delivery, and difficulty in accessing historical data. The research employs a survey method, gathering data from library staff and users to understand the extent of the problem and its implications on library operations. The findings reveal significant issues such as outdated materials, lack of professional staff, insufficient storage facilities, and inadequate funding.
