Abstract

The development of a tracking system for kidnapped victims using tags as parameters aimed to enhance the safety and recovery efforts for individuals subjected to abduction. In recent time, apart from the Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen terrorism, attention has been turned to the issue of kidnapping and stringent measures have been taken to tackle the menace. Both National and International bodies are coming together to see if the incidence can be curbed. Many engage in kidnapping business for different purposes and missions. This study focused on leveraging advanced tracking technologies and methodologies to provide real-time location information, significantly improving the chances of locating and rescuing kidnapped individuals. The system incorporated small, inconspicuous tags that victims could carry or wear, which transmitted signals to a central monitoring unit. These tags utilized a combination of GPS, GSM, and RFID technologies to ensure precise and continuous location tracking. The central system processed the signals, triangulated the positions, and provided accurate location data to law enforcement agencies and rescue teams. The Object- Oriented Analysis and Design Methodology (OOADM) were used to analyze and design this project work. The Programming language used in developing this application software is python and some python library. The program has the ability to run on any Windows operating system
