DESIGN AND SIMULATION OF MULTI-PROBE DIGITAL THERMOMETER
Abstract
ABSTRACT
A multiprobe digital thermometer allows for the simultaneous measurement of temperatures at different locations, providing comprehensive temperature monitoring and enhancing data accuracy. Unlike traditional single-probe thermometers, which are limited to a single location, a multiprobe system is particularly advantageous in situations where temperature needs to be monitored in different environments or compartments. The project is on design and simulation of a multiprobe digital thermometer capable of simultaneously measuring and displaying temperature readings from multiple locations using a microcontroller-based system. However, both sensors seem to function properly within the expected range, detecting temperatures from 0°C to 98°C. The linear nature of the sensor outputs suggests a well-calibrated system with consistent behavior across the voltage range as corresponding temperatures appear plausible for a real-world scenario, such as the measurement of heat in different zones of an object or environment, where temperature variations can occur. From results of simulation the sensor readings provides insight into the effectiveness of the multiprobe thermometer in capturing temperature variations at multiple points. The system appears to perform well, with the sensors detecting temperature differences accurately across different scenarios. However, further refinement in calibration may be necessary to improve accuracy, especially near the extreme values of the sensor's voltage range. Additionally, future tests could explore how environmental factors such as airflow, insulation, and sensor placement affect the temperature readings.
