ASSESSEMENT OF BACTERIA IN AIR OF SOME CLASS ROOMS AND LABORATORIES IN DELTA STATE
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The indoor microbiome is a complex system that is thought to depend on dispersal from the outdoor biome and the occupants' microbiome combined with selective pressures imposed by the occupants' behaviors and the building itself. Most of the people in laboratory, schools, colleges, hospitals etc, where exposed to many environmental conditions that affect their health. Micro-organism are normally present in the laboratory where they can develop extensively. Due to air pollution, a lot of bacteria inhabit the air and isolating them from the air is refers to as the air sampling. In this research work, the different type of bacteria isolated from different offices include; Staphylococcus aureus 8(28.5), Streptococcus spp 8(28.5), E. coli 8(28.5) and Bacillus spp 4(14.8). These bacteria are known to cause diseases in humans and can be avoided only if the causes of air pollution is reduced.
