AN ANALYSIS OF CURRENT AWARENESS SERVICES AND SELECTIVE DISSEMINATION OF INFORMATION IN BAUCHI STATE UNIVERSITY, GADAU
Abstract
The major function of any academic library is to support their parent organizational objective
which is to provide information resources and services to library users. The core objectives of the
study are: to analyze the importance of Current Awareness Services and Selective Dissemination of
Information services within Bauchi State University Gadau, to know the type of Current Awareness
Services and Selective Dissemination of Information services rendered in Bauchi State University Gadau,
Library. This study tends to use Quantitative design because its suitable for this study. A random
sampling technique was used to select 297. A self-made questionnaire containing 15 items
statements were the major instrument for data collection.
