Abstract

This project is focused on evaluating the production of biogas from poultry manure, with an emphasis on identifying and resolving obstacles that prevent the production of biogas. Producing biogas from organic waste, like chicken waste, has great potential as a sustainable waste management approach and a renewable energy source. Biogas is the gas created by the anaerobic breakdown of organic matter. A comprehehensive review of the major factors influencing biogas production, such as digester design, microbial activity, substrate composition, and environmental factors, is part of the research methodology. A physio-chemical test will be formed as a part of the experimental investigations on the substarte. Despite the possibility of producing biogas from poultry manure, preliminary findings suggest that certain factors, such as high ammonia content, unbalanced carbon-to-nitrogen ratios, or unfavorable weather condition, may prevent gas generation from occurring as efficiently as possible. The project aim to address these challenges through process optimization, substrate pre-treatment, and the introduction of additives to enhance microbial activity. The findings of this research contribute to the development of strategies for enhancing biogas production from poultry manure, providing valuable insights for researchers, practitioners, etc. Involved in the promotion of sustainable waste-to-energy solutions.
