DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF AN ONLINE BANKING SYSTEM
Abstract
This project focuses on the design, development, and implementation of a secure and user-friendly online banking management system. The primary objective was to create a platform that integrates user-centric design principles, ensuring intuitive navigation, responsiveness, and accessibility, while maintaining robust security measures to protect sensitive user and financial data. The system was developed using Next.js for the frontend, Node.js for the backend, and MySQL for the database, with key features such as user registration, role-based access control, transaction management, and comprehensive security protocols, including token-based authentication (JWT) and data encryption.
The methodology followed a structured approach, beginning with the design of both the system architecture and user interface. The implementation phase involved the integration of the frontend, backend, and database systems.
The results demonstrated successful achievement of the project’s objectives. The system performed well under various conditions, displaying high levels of user satisfaction and security. Contributions to knowledge include insights into user-centric design in online banking, the implementation of modern security protocols, and strategies for scalability in growing banking platforms.
The project concludes with recommendations for future development, including the need for regular updates, further integration of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, and continuous user feedback mechanisms to ensure the platform evolves with user needs and emerging industry trends.
