DEVELOPMENT OF A RESULT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR MASTER STUDENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE
Abstract
The Result Management System (RMS) is a comprehensive web-based platform designed to streamline the process of managing and analyzing academic results, particularly for master students in higher institutions. Utilizing modern web technologies such as Next.js for both frontend and backend development, Node.js for server-side logic, and SQLite as the database, the system offers a reliable and scalable solution for academic institutions.
The RMS efficiently handles student enrollment, course registration, grade entry, and result processing, while ensuring role-based access control (RBAC) for different users, including administrators, instructors, and students. The system allows administrators to manage academic records, staff to input and update results, and students to view their results and progress reports. The inclusion of borrowed courses and department-specific course credits makes it highly flexible, while SQLite provides lightweight and easy-to-deploy database functionality.
This platform addresses the need for efficient result management in institutions with growing student populations and diverse academic requirements. It aims to reduce administrative burden, improve accuracy in grade computation, and enhance user experience for both academic staff and students. By incorporating modern web development practices, the RMS supports secure access, data integrity, and scalability, providing a robust and accessible tool for managing academic results in a digital age.
