Abstract

Violence is a complex social phenomenon with significant societal implication. In this research, we proposed a mathematical model on the ethnic violence model was developed using a set of three non-linear ordinary differential equations each for a compartment. In which the total population is categorized into three compartments. Susceptible, Aggressive and Victim (SAV) . We obtained the model’s boundedness, positivity, existence of the equilibria point and the sensitivity analysis .the ethnic violence free equilibrium and endemic equilibrium were obtained and the stability analysis have been carried out using Routh-Hurwizt criterion. We obtained the basic reproduction number ,(R_0 ) using next generation matrix to determined whether the ethnic violence can be eliminated or not .The analytical results show that the violence free equilibrium is locally asymptotically stable since R_0
