Research results showed the following: Learning environment has significant effects on adult learning efficiency, Socio-economic factors have significant effects on adult learning efficiency, Curriculum content has significant effects on adult learning efficiency, and that there are slight differences on the effect of the extrinsic factors on male and female adult learners. It was recommended among others that the Ministry of Education and the regulatory bodies should consider seriously the goal of the educational activity. The totality of experiences that the learners are supposed to get at the end of the learning programme should be clearly spelt out and vigorously pursued. The instructors should be acquainted with the learnersβ needs, interest, aspirations, aptitudes and abilities. This could be done through casual interviews, observation, and performance records etc. and that the adult learners should be actively involved in deciding the period of the learning activity. They should be allowed the opportunity to demonstrate some learning initiatives. It should be noted that the method of handling the adult learners is quite different from the method of handling younger learners.
