Abstract

The alarming rise in antibiotics resistant pathogen poses a significant to global health, necessitating the search for alternative antimicrobial agents. Azaderitchta indica (Neem), a plant long revered in traditional medicine system across Asia and Africa, is increasingly gaining scientific attention for it's rich reservoir of bioactive compounds. This study explores the antimicrobial potential of Neem leaf extract against selected pathogen bacterial. The investigation focuses specially on the antibacterial efficacy of methanol extracts derived from minimum bacterial concentration (MBC) and diameter zone of inhibition (DZI) this study aims to provide empirical evidence supporting the traditional use of Neem and to lay the groundwork for further pharmacology and clinical investigations. Ultimately, the results of this research may contribute to the development of novel plant _ based antimicrobial therapies and support global effort to combat antimicrobial resistance. Methanol was used on extract in five concentration which are 125.00mgl-1, 62.50mgl-1, 37.25mgl-1 and 15.63mgl-1 on explosive of selected pathogen E.coli have the lowest diameter zone inhibition (DZI) while staphylococcus have the highest zone of inhibition. The minimum microbial concentration (MMC) of E.coli was 7.63mgl-1 while staphylococcus was 15.6mgl-1 and candid Albrcan 62.50mgl-1. Also the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) was 7.63mgl-1, staphylococcus was 31.25mgl-1 and candid Albrcan 31.25mgl-1.
