IMPACT OF BANK VERIFICATION NUMBER ON FINANCIAL SECURITY IN NIGERIA (A CASE STUDY OF ZENITH BANK PLC, LAFIA)
Abstract
The project is focused on the impact of Bank Verification Number on financial security in Nigeria. The main objective of the study is to the determine the significant Impact of B.V.N on number of cheque approved in Zenith Bank Plc, Lafia. The methodology applied is secondary sources of data. The researcher used survey research design and a population 49 respondents in which 44 was derived as sample size through Taro Yamane formula, 44 copies of questionnaire was distributed and all 44 copies were dully filled and returned. A simple percentage technique was used to compute for the analysis of data, through this the researcher discovered that Bank Verification Number have significant impact on number of cheque approved in Zenith Bank Plc, Lafia and recommended that Banks should ensure that their customers money are protected, since customers will use banks more when they know that their transactions are safe as BVN offers vast opportunities to protect customers, banks and the entire financial system.
