INFORMATION MANAGEMENT OF STUDENTS PROJECT FOR E-SUPERVISION IN SA’ADU ZUNGUR UNIVERSITY BAUCHI
Abstract
This study was motivated by the significant inefficiencies inherent in the manual, paper-based system for supervising final-year projects in the Department of Library and Information Science (LIS) at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau (SAZU). Challenges such as communication gaps, feedback delays, poor
documentation tracking, and logistical issues across campuses negatively impact research quality and timely project completion. In response, this research investigated the development of an e-supervision system as a viable digital alternative.
Adopting a quantitative descriptive survey design, the study gathered data from a population of 204 final-year LIS students and 13 project supervisors. A purposive sampling technique was used to select a sample of 100 participants. Data was collected via a structured online questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequencies and percentages.
