Abstract

The increasing volume of academic resources has made it challenging for university students to access relevant materials quickly and efficiently. At the University of Cross River State, students face difficulties navigating through extensive collections of books, research papers, and other academic resources, which hinders personalized learning. This project, titled "Design and Implementation of a Personalized Recommendation Virtual Library for the University of Cross River State," addresses this issue by developing a virtual library system that provides tailored recommendations to users based on their preference and academic needs. The primary aim of this project is to enhance the learning experience by creating an intelligent system that recommends personalized academic resources to students, based on factors such as their course of study, previous searches, and interaction with the library system. designing an intuitive user interface that facilitates easy access to materials, and ensuring the system’s integration with existing library databases for seamless access to academic resources. The expected outcome is a functional virtual library system that offers personalized recommendations, improves resource accessibility, and contributes to better academic performance. This system will ultimately support students in their academic journey by providing timely and relevant materials, enhancing the overall educational experience at the University of Cross River State.
