DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF DISTRIBUTED RESULT PROCESSING SYSTEM (DRPS) A CASE STUDY OF FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC ADO-EKITI)
Abstract
Distributed Result Processing System (DRPS) is a type of system where the result
processing is not limited to a particular location or individual. In DRPS, lecturers can
upload their results online, the HOD can process the result of all the lecturers collated
without taking it to a particular center which is the very present challenges of the current
system. DRPS ensures integrity as no individual can alter another person’s result. In DRPS,
Dean and Rector can view the result of his/her school and the entire Schools respectively.
DRPS ensures timely result processing and communication. DRPS was developed using
PHP, JavaScript, JAVA and MySQL. DPRS removed all the bottlenecks the current system
is facing.
