Abstract

ABSTRACT This study examines the contributions of youth fellowship to the growth of ECWA Shongom District Church Council (DCC) in Gombe State. While previous studies have explored the role of youth in the church, limited attention has been given to their specific contributions to church development at the district level. This study fills this gap by analyzing the spiritual, numerical, and social impact of youth fellowship within ECWA Shongom DCC. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing historical analysis, literature review, and field observations to assess the effectiveness of youth involvement. Findings reveal that the youth fellowship significantly contributes to evangelism, discipleship, leadership development, and community service. However, challenges such as financial constraints, generational gaps, and limited mentorship hinder their full potential. The study recommends increased church support, structured discipleship programs, leadership training, and the use of digital platforms to enhance youth engagement. Addressing these challenges will strengthen the role of youth in church growth, ensuring continuity and sustainability within ECWA Shongom DCC. Keywords: Youth Fellowship, Church Growth, ECWA Shongom DCC, Evangelism, Leadership Development
