DESIN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ONLINE EXAM SCHEDULE
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The traditional method of scheduling examinations in most academic
institutions is often manual, time-consuming, and prone to errors such as
clashes, duplication, and poor allocation of resources. This project titled
“Design and Implementation of Online Exam Schedule” aims to develop an
efficient, reliable, and automated system for managing examination timetables
through an online platform. The system is designed to simplify the process of
scheduling exams by allowing administrators to input course details, assign
dates, time slots, venues, and invigilators automatically based on available
resources. It also provides an interface for students and lecturers to easily
access and verify their exam schedules from any location.
The implementation of the system involves the use of web-based technologies
such as HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript for the front-end and backend development. The system enhances accuracy, transparency, and
accessibility while reducing administrative workload and the risk of human
errors. Testing and evaluation of the system showed significant improvement in
the speed and efficiency of exam timetable generation compared to the manual
approach. The developed system therefore provides a practical solution for
institutions seeking to modernize and optimize their examination management
process.
