Abstract

This study investigates the impact of financial and non-financial incentive schemes on employee performance and organizational productivity, focusing on Fidelity Bank in Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. The research explores how varying incentives contribute to motivation, job satisfaction, and retention, ultimately enhancing organizational success. Using a quantitative research design, data were gathered through structured questionnaires distributed to 25 employees, with responses from 20 participants analyzed. Findings reveal that financial incentives, such as bonuses and salary increments, directly improve productivity by motivating employees to meet measurable goals. Meanwhile, non-financial incentives, including recognition, career development, and flexible work arrangements, enhance job satisfaction and foster long-term commitment. Statistical analysis, using Chi-square tests, confirms that both incentive types have a significant positive effect on organizational performance. The study concludes that a balanced approach, combining financial rewards with non-financial support, effectively drives employee engagement, performance, and retention. It recommends that organizations adopt comprehensive incentive strategies that recognize both immediate and long-term employee needs, ensuring sustainable productivity and organizational growth.
