Abstract

This study examined employees’ participation in decision making and its effect on organizational performance, using Emenite Plc as a case study. A descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire administered to 80 respondents in Emenite Plc. The data obtained were analyzed using simple percentage and frequency tables. Findings from the study revealed that employees’ participation in decision making is present but at a moderate level in Emenite Plc. The study also showed that employee participation positively affects productivity, enhances job satisfaction, increases employee commitment, and improves organizational performance. The study concludes that employee participation in decision making is essential for improving organizational performance. It recommends that management should encourage greater employee involvement, improve communication, and adopt participatory management practices.
