EFFECT OF MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM (MIS) ON THE OPERATION OF RESEARCH INSTITUTION (A STUDY OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE (PRODA)
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study looked at how the Project Development Institute (Proda) operated in relation to the Management Information System (MIS). The study's goals include determining how management information systems affect the quality of the company's output, assessing the dependability of the Project Development Institute's (PRODA) current information generation method on MIS, and determining how computers affect job activity accuracy and speed. Both primary and secondary sources were used as data sources. The Taro Yamane formula was used to determine the sample size, which came out to be 146 out of the study's 230 population. Frequencies and percentages were used to display the gathered data. The chi-square distribution formula was used to test the hypotheses. The results demonstrated that management information systems have an impact on the caliber of the company's output, that the Project Development Institute's (PRODA) current information generation method on MIS is reliable, and that computers have a major impact on job activity accuracy and speed. The study recommended amongst others, that more computers should be secured in order to increase the speed and accuracy of work. That the organization should adopt the use of information generating method in their operations and the management of PRODA should ensure proper safety of information for easy retrieval.
