DESIGN AND INSTALLATION OF 7.5KVA SOLAR POWERED SYSTEM IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING
Abstract
This project presents the design and implementation of a 7.5 kVA solar power system aimed at providing a clean, reliable, and sustainable energy source for departmental operations. The system includes solar panels, a charge controller (MPPT), battery storage, and an inverter, all configured to supply essential loads such as lighting, laboratory equipment, and office appliances. The project addresses the challenges of frequent grid outages and rising energy costs by reducing dependence on conventional power sources. It also serves as a practical learning tool for students in renewable energy and electrical engineering fields. System performance, load management, and safety considerations are evaluated to ensure efficiency and long-term reliability.
