Abstract

ABSTRACT This study investigates the effect of Management Information System (MIS) on organizational performance, with a specific focus on Seven-Up Bottling Company Plc, Aba. In today's dynamic and technology-driven business environment, organizations increasingly rely on information systems to enhance efficiency, decision-making, and overall productivity. The research adopts a descriptive survey design, utilizing questionnaires and interviews to collect primary data from staff across different departments. Secondary data were also gathered from journals, textbooks, and company records. The study examines how MIS contributes to operational efficiency, accuracy of information, timely decision-making, and improved communication within the organization. Findings reveal that the implementation of MIS significantly enhances organizational performance by reducing operational delays, improving data accuracy, and supporting managerial decision-making processes. However, challenges such as system downtime, inadequate training, and resistance to technological change were identified. The study concludes that MIS plays a crucial role in improving organizational effectiveness and recommends continuous training, system upgrades, and proper management support to maximize its benefits.
