Abstract

Abstract This study investigates the impact of parental involvement and the classroom environment on the academic achievement of Economics students in Lagos State, Nigeria. Using a mixed-method research design and sophisticated analytical techniques such as structural equation modeling and multi-level analysis, the research explores how these factors shape educational outcomes. The study aims to move beyond generic educational models by providing a culturally relevant lens rooted in the local Nigerian educational landscape. Preliminary findings indicate a significant positive correlation between parental involvement and students' academic performance
