THE EFFECTS OF POOR OFFICE ENVIRONMENT ON THE MOTIVATION OF WORKERS IN AN ORGANISATION (A STUDY OF ANINRI LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF ENUGU STATE)

ABSTRACT The objective and aim of this research is to examine the "Effect of poor office environment on the motivation of workers in an organization (A case study of Aninri Local Government Area of Enugu State). This study was designed to find out if or whether poor office environment has any effects on the motivation of workers in Aninri Local Government. In carrying out this investigations, some research questionnaire to be sent to the staff of the organization where the investigation was carried out. The found out that since the environment has a far reaching effect on the motivation of workers, it then become imperative that adequate attention should be given to office conditions. The recommendations was that the staff of Aninri Local Government should register and identify with the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), there should be adequate modern machines should be brought into the organization so as to enhance the productivity of workers and also reduce burden or fatigue and fringe benefits and incentive should be encouraged and the organization should have a welfare official which are very active in order to improve the welfare and well-being of the employees
