ONLINE HOSPITAL LOCATION SYSTEM USING GOOGLE MAPS

Access to timely healthcare services is a crucial component of public health, particularly in emergency situations where quick decisions can save lives. The Smart Hospital Locator is a web-based application designed to simplify the process of locating nearby hospitals and accessing their basic information, such as name, address, and contact number. This project aims to bridge the gap between healthcare seekers and providers by offering a platform that supports fast and secure hospital searches.The system was developed using HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for the frontend to ensure responsiveness and user-friendliness across various devices. PHP was used to handle backend logic, while MySQL served as the database system. PDO (PHP Data Objects) was employed for secure database access, with input sanitization implemented to prevent SQL injection attacks.Functionality was tested across multiple browsers and devices, confirming mobile responsiveness, accurate search results, and reliable navigation. Though the current version features manually inserted hospital data, it lays the groundwork for future enhancements, including Google Maps integration, real-time database updates, and an admin dashboard for dynamic content management.The Smart Hospital Locator demonstrates how basic web technologies can be leveraged to solve real-world problems in the healthcare domain. Its successful implementation shows potential for large-scale deployment, especially in areas with limited access to healthcare information systems.
