SYSTEM INTEGRATION TESTING AND EVALUATION OF A 3KVA PURE SINEWAVE HYBRID INVERTER
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project presents the System Integration, Testing, and Evaluation of a 3KVA Pure Sinewave Hybrid Inverter, designed to enhance power conversion efficiency, waveform quality, and load handling capacity for renewable energy applications. The primary aim of this work is to address common challenges associated with conventional inverters, such as low efficiency, high harmonic distortion, and unreliable load regulations, through effective system integration and optimized power management techniques. The hybrid inverter integrates solar, grid, and battery inputs using an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) for seamless power switching, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for optimal solar energy harvesting, and a Battery Management System (BMS) for enhanced protection against overcharge and deep discharge conditions. The system was designed and constructed with critical components including a high-frequency PWM inverter stage, power MOSFETs, and robust control circuitry. Comprehensive testing and evaluation were conducted, focusing on key performance metrics.
