THE DISTRIBUTION STRATEGIES FOR MARKETING OF ROOFING SHEETS IN ENUGU STATE WITH EMPHASIS ON ALO ALUMINUM COMPANY LIMITED ENUGU
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This study examines the role of distribution strategies in enhancing organizational performance within a competitive business environment. It emphasizes that production is only complete when goods and services reach the final consumers efficiently, making distribution a critical component of the marketing mix. The research explores how effective distribution strategies—such as transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and order processing—contribute to customer satisfaction, increased sales, and improved market share. The study adopts a descriptive research design and relies on both primary and secondary data sources to analyze the relationship between distribution efficiency and organizational success. Findings reveal that firms that implement well-structured and standardized distribution systems experience reduced operational costs, improved customer loyalty, and higher profitability. Conversely, poor distribution practices lead to product delays, customer dissatisfaction, and reduced competitiveness. The study concludes that effective distribution strategies are essential for achieving organizational objectives and sustaining growth. It recommends that firms invest in modern logistics systems, strengthen distribution networks, and continuously evaluate their distribution channels to remain competitive in the market.
