Abstract

This project explores the development and optimization of Palm Kernel Shell (PKS) burners as a sustainable energy solution. Palm Kernel Shells, a by-product of the palm oil industry, present a significant opportunity for renewable energy production due to their high calorific value and widespread availability in regions where oil palm cultivation is prevalent. The study aims to enhance the efficiency and environmental performance of PKS burners through advanced design and material innovations. By focusing on key factors such as combustion efficiency, emissions control, and material durability, the project seeks to address the existing challenges in biomass burner technology. The research also investigates the integration of modern control systems and automation technologies to improve the operational reliability and safety of PKS burners. Through a combination of experimental analysis and theoretical modeling, the findings of this study contribute to the advancement of biomass energy systems, offering a viable alternative to fossil fuels and supporting global sustainability efforts.
