Abstract

The convenient way to electrify electrical department self-sufficiently without trusting utility grid is stand-alone solar energy; the size of the photovoltaic array depends on the energy. Therefore, this project takes an organised and technical approach to predict the minimum energy demand for electrical department. The load demand had forecasted; the PV module, DC-DC boost converter typically called controller in solar setup; transformerless inverter had designed and simulated using Matlab/Simulink in this work. Analysis of PV array, open-loop DC-DC boost converter, closed-loop DC-DC boost converter was carefully studied and decided the most desirable suitable for utilisation. Battery management system that monitors the state of charge (SOC) and state of health (SOH) had also studied.
