Abstract

Nigeria’s energy challenges, including unreliable power supply and high electricity costs, create a need for sustainable solutions like solar power. The aim of this study is to develop a mathematical model to optimize solar power system design and operation in Warri, Delta State, focusing on maximizing energy output and minimizing costs. The methodology utilizes solar irradiance data and advanced optimization techniques such as linear programming and simulation to determine the best system configuration for local conditions.
